The Weird and Wonderful Zone X, Cusco, Peru

Named by Jesus Gamarra 46 years ago!!, the fabulous Zone X just above Cusco in Peru is one of the most wonderful sites I have ever visited. Zone X is as old as dirt. The tunnel system underneath Zone X just goes down and down. Jesus Gamarra has been down 3 levels, but Zone X is rumoured to have at the very least 4 levels!! – I am sure there are more 😉 . What was the purpose of the underground system and how much more is there to explore. To dig deeper, specialist equipment is required, so for now, a couple of headlamps, a decent strong rope and a steady hand will just have to do. I love this place and have explored it on many occasions – every time I visit, I find more and more unexplained anomalies. WONDERFUL……
